The Rome Series

In 2009, I travelled to Rome, Italy. It was my first solo trip, and would prove to be a catalyst in my life. Those two weeks were exhilarating, affirming, challenging, and isolating in turn, but they sparked in me a fierce independence and curiosity that has never cooled. I produced this series of seven drawings to document the Eternal City and subtly narrate my own time there.
