Still Lifes

When creating a still life composition in India ink, my aim is to capture various textures, reflections, and shadows using only the interplay between solid black and white. I have always loved the graphic punch that results from rich, velvety black ink on smooth, creamy white paper. Often I will choose a multi-panel composition to showcase different aspects of the subject matter. This is a nod to graphic narrative, a field I also enjoy working in.
